Ramgoolam Not In the Mood To Nurse GLDs

More precisely, here's what he said: Ki zot tile? Pran zot dan godi dir ayo papa Euro! Euro! donn zot bibron? Pa Pwena! Devaliasyon zame tienn solisyon. Nu bizin vinn pli konpetitif".

Kind of refreshing to hear. In any case the majority of citizens didn't vote for Berenger's team because they didn't want our currency to be depreciated.

Bheenick is also back at his desk since Friday afternoon and has stated that he will not be privileging a few at the expense of the many.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing wrong with your comment dear fellow human being, neither in form nor in content.
Before reading comments on this blog (including yours), I simply was unaware that S.Gobine had been the editor-in-chief of 'The Sun', and that Thomas Cook formed part of La Sentinelle. I'm still discovering many many things and clearing out many myths from my mind by interacting with the author and his followers/commentors.
I'm simply amazed about how things are so closely inter-related in our country. As someone very aptly noticed: the dots are everywhere, you just need to find the links between them...
And that's why I again say that this blog (Kozelidir) is THE shit!

"Rupee devaluation would cause inflation to surge out of control. It is effectively an insidiously and perniciously impoverishing tax on the public at large."

"Even countries which live in the backyard of the Euro zone, like Morocco and Tunisia, have allowed their currencies to free-fl oat, thereby letting market forces and economic fundamentals determine their exchange rates.

Euro and Sterling weakness are due to the daunting, some might say self-inflicted, macro-economic problems of Europe and the UK (spiralling fiscal deficits, high public debt, private corporate debt, domestic debt, external debt banking insolvencies and bail-outs, credit crunch, housing crisis, household debt etc). We mostly do not have these problems here. Therefore, as Governor Bheenick rightly says, let’s not make their problems (Europe and the UK) our problem to save the skin of a few, who did not save for lean days."

Mr Parkar is not any "n'importe", he is THE gourmand la-minn dipain (GLD) par excellence:

- having recourse to bouncers to deal with foreign workers asking for a decent pay

- and threatening job losses

But, judging from the comments (flak rather) that Mr Parkar receives from commenters, Dodolanders are no more that gullible! One of them (Jeff) appears to be a regular Kozelidir reader, quoting two articles to contradict Mr Parkar.

Behind Mr Parkar there's always a 'poukni' * surfing / dramatising on what others say: Mukeshwar Gopal, président de la Mauritius Export Association!

* - tubular contraption that our grandparents/parents of lepok margoz blew through to revive stove fire / rekindle glowing embers.

Sir, i believe it is the same Currimjee who was part of the top management of Bonair Knitwear. Bonair went upside down because:

i. too many in top management were taking big big salaries -- 11 of them were apparently on salaries of Rs 500,000+/month... (so it is like that BPO company which was in the news recently)
ii. it did not have an adequate treasury function (in fact it finally advertised for treasury jobs a few weeks only before it "met la cle sous le paillasson")
iii. it were looking for return on capital that were not compatible with the kind of business it was in (we should also check what was happening to our rupee during the time)

As someone rightly pointed out here there are several other parameters to consider before asking for a depreciation of our rupee.

akagugo said...

Allez Pravind! A-kott ou bidzé?
