iPad Mini Launched in 30 Minutes

Because apparently people are not taking their iPad with them that often. So the folks at Cupertino have designed one that they hope will be carried everywhere. And to fight off Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle.

It will be a first for CEO Tim Cook: launch a product that's not a new version of an existing one. After Steve's exit.

Court Says Galaxy Not As Cool As iPad

So that the Cupertino-based tech mogul lost the case of design infringement it brought against the South Korean giant. Judge Birss said that the iPad's competitor doesn't "have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design. They are not as cool."

That's not going to hurt the sales of the iPad, will it?

At the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Fran. Faster processor and still better display expected while Apple is now worth more than half a trillion dollars.  How big is Steve's company? Well its net income is larger than Google's turnover. Not bad, eh?

Photo Giant Files For Bankruptcy

Household name Kodak filed for Chapter 11 yesterday to try to get a fair deal selling its patent portfolio. Although the 131-year company was home to many inventions -- including the digital camera 37 years ago -- it was unable to translate these breakthroughs into a bigger and sustainable bottom line. Here we've been growing sugar for nearly 400 years and some seem to want to grow it for another 800 years. Good luck!

RIM too had a bad year in 2011 with its share price plummeting more than 80%. It is now trading close to its replacement cost -- how much money you would need to rebuild it from scratch. It seems that the Playbook has not been able to compete with the iPad and the Galaxy.
