Why Militants Have Every Reason To Be Mad

With their lider maximo that is. Simple. It would have been very easy for them to win the last general elections and end five years of karo kann given how Sithanen and Mansoor had messed up the economy. All their party leadership had to do was to ask Reagan's famous election-winning killer question: are you better off than you were four years ago?

Instead Berenger preferred to frame Sithanen's exit as an ethnic issue: Ramgoolam was not being fair to Tamil-Mauritians. Costly mistake. Very costly.

couldnt disagree more because regarless of how one could take advantage of the economic mess created by Ramgoolam and his associates of Rama and company we should not forget that Berenger hasnt got much credibility.Did you see his argumnets during the elections - he was talking about how someone's face was like a.........

Berenger was not alone in missing the elephant in a corridor with a handful of rice.

The MMM needs to get rid of polo just as the Ptr needs to get rid of Ramgoolam.

Herve Aimee could teach them a thing or two about exiting politics to let in new blood.

The MMM is Polo and the Ptr is Ramgoolam. Sad, but true state of affairs of politics in Mauritius.

Whoever doesnt agree is more than welcome to join the Party Malin and many others.

Was it not you said we should vote Ptr and prevent the MMM coming to power because they would depreciate the rupee?

Ton Polo n'est pas proprietaire du MMM tout comme N.R. n'est pas celui du Ptr. Il y en aura d'autres. Bien heureusement d'ailleurs.

Well, you could have voted for them if you did want our rupee to sink. The latter has pretty much well-behaved for the past last year hasn't it? Maybe I should have another graphic on this.

Besides our society is dysfunctional in more ways than one. Doesn't hurt to have one of them out of the way don't you think?

These arguments appeared strange at first: but, despite his good intentions and down-to-earth approach, Kee Chong would have been crowded out by the likes of Sushil K and Ramesh B-R. But when he showed disgust for the way Rama had been ignored from Labour's list of candidates, it made sense to presume that he would have been swayed (I hope I'm not making a 'procès d'intention') by the anti-Manou lobby headed by the JEC/MEXA orthrus.

@ Enn_aie_uhh:
Wai. What we need now is a fresh results-oriented generation that takes over to correct the malpractices engrained in our society by the stale political games played at least once by all the present parties. All of them.

The PM said in parliament this week that the MMM has no principles as Cuttaree visited Colombo as Foreign Minister to ask support for his candidacy as WTO boss from the Sri Lankan PM, Mahinda Rajapaksa, who is now the President. Pascal Lamy got the job in May 2005.

And when you consider their childish persistence to abscond from parliament or koz-kozé, it makes sense that actually, not only Militants, but all Mauritians have every reason to be mad at them: they are not doing what they are paid for by all tax-payers' money.
