So make sure to stroll through them during 2011 to do yourself some good. And don't forget to speak out. This will help bring common sense back to our country.
Planning to cut a tree anytime soon? Look at the consequences first, and just try to imagine yourself in the place of the poor thing... And I wonder why those which were felled along St Paul road (yes, the one leading to and from Clarisse House) have never been replanted? And what is the status of the loadable Black River Gorges reforestation programme? Ile de France/Dom-tom-pom still aping the Grenelle through MID?
Local hotels will soon be rated. Wouldn't it have been better to come up with some kind of environmental rating too? Something which measures the eco-footprint of each room. Besides do we really still look at how many stars a hotel has or use google and tripadvisor. And friends whose taste and recommendations we trust. Not to mention lonely planet and the likes.
Environmental rating is meant for advanced economies, not like ours which is still letting in all sorts of death traps, health hazards, or things fraught with moral hazards...

For those who may still be skeptical about the effects of deforestation, or the benefits of trees as carbon sink.
