Why are Thousands Taking to the Streets in Hamburg?

Because they're worried about the climate and inequality. And why are people doing the same thing in Brazil? They are sick of seeing several corrupt politicians pocketing giant kickbacks while asking them to make sacrifices and swallow more austerity measures. Like pushing back the retirement age and putting a ceiling on pension benefits.

Not very different from what happened in North Africa less than a decade ago. In Mauritius too trickle-down economics has broken the economy and inequality has reached levels never seen before. This is simply not sustainable.

  1. Austerity? Look at what ce cher Emmanuel is doing to France these days...
Dodoland too is experiencing the joys of Welfare-State bashing, with some ministers believing that each and every State department should be profitable on their own, year-on-year.
Who knows, the only thing that can trickle down to us would surely be the tears of laughter of the cosseted elites...

  2. Your good friend Joseph reminds us about the joys of tax breaks for corporations.

  3. Never impressed by this guy who says tax cuts work for small countries. Talking through his hat again.

  4. Worried about the climate? Some examples of an accumulation of things tipping against us... Maybe it's too late to phase out the internal combustion engine and replace it with 'cleaner' electric vehicles, but their supporters fail to notice that these, like your hi-tech gadgets, depend on a rare earth metals which imply very dirty extractive methods.
