Kind of pleasant to watch Liverpool outclass Leicester on Saturday. And especially Sadio Mane, Anfield's new darling. Many see in him a Suarez-class striker. It is an interesting performance for Liverpool given that no Premier League team scored more than two goals against the reigning champions in the entire 2015/16 season. Save Arsenal who won 2-5 last September.
City is looking very strong -- they're the only team not to have dropped any points in four games. Everton too is better with Bolasie.
We're in for another very competitive season.

Spurs the only team unbeaten after 9 matches. While three teams top the league with 20 points.
ReplyDeleteNice derby against Manu. Mane scored a penalty against Tunisia a couple of hours later in AFCON. We missed Matip and great to have Phil back.
ReplyDeleteLiv seemed to have waited for Llorente to score two beautiful goals before waking up. But they fell short again. Firmino keeps on progressing but the team looks like it could use a bit more depth. Mane would probably have made a difference and allowed his team to reduce that point-gap with Chelsea which could increase to 10 tomorrow. Kind of also surprising that Klopp is not getting a new striker in the current transfer window as Mane will not be there when leaders visit Anfield at the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteBut this is the EPL and it's not over till it's over.
