FM Warns Banks Not To Mess Up With Him

And to play a more active role supplying working-capital to the many SMEs that Government wants to see created. If they don't banks should expect problems from him. Banks have responded that they have helped the development of every sector in Mauritius. Mr. Lutchmeenaraidoo also said that banks were the only sector which makes money without working hard.

A few years ago Mauritius was deemed to be held back by some pretty bad interest rate spreads.

  1. And who is warning the FM against the Rupee depreciation tendencies of the BoM man? You? Did you send him an email about it?

I see the FM was using your website for his political campaign. He is indeed a selective guy. And please tell him to increases the 15% corporate tax as well.

That's an incredible claim, dear fellow human being. We should probably wait and give this government some time to settle down and examine their actions over the next year before jumping to conclusions, even if the perception is that they are rushing on all fronts in an apparent disorderly manner.

But you are right on one thing: in which direction will the new BoM management work - together with the Finance Ministry or work only in favour the perpetual cry-babies? Time will tell...

You piqued my curiosity so I went to check how he may "have used my website". I saw he had one of my published posts on his FB page. The chart looks quite sexy. And that's kind of nice because it took me a long time to make it.

Please excuse me for not having sent any email to him as I was pretty much caught up with my work.

Ok. So the email should have at least two points eh?

    1. Unflatten tax structure
    2. Keep Basant Roi on a tight leash

    Anything else?

  4. Yeah those two points are fine for now, and post evidence of your correspondence too please.

  5. Wouldn't a signed affidavit be better?

  6. No, we got too many of those from Ramgoolam already lately.

Just send your correspondence to the new FM, and post a copy on the blog.
