So says The Banker. For having boosted credit in times of lazy banking, stabilised our rupee and helped educate exporters that depreciation of our currency cannot be a source of competitiveness. He also brought the double-digit inflation he inherited from the toxic duet when he took office on Valentine's Day 2007 back to single digits.
Bravo to the Governor of the people for the people and by the people!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that funny that Berenger said on radio a few days ago that the Governor was one of the people that should go if ever the MMM was going to work with the Labour Party? Here we have probably the best ever Central Bank Governor of Mauritius and Ton Polo wants him out. To be replaced by some doormat ti-copin governor no doubt.
S. Gobine and others must be thrilled...
You mean that Moustas wants the oligarchy's - remember the (in)famous media picture of him and PG Noel toasting and partying while the MCB scam was being unzipped - doormat and rupee sinker back. For more efficiency, he should also consider hiring George the rupee fatwamullah and Pipo, the unrepentant fat cat. Black Paul should also provide the edge while JCDL spins the facts + Pierre twists the figures. Ali would then become redundant. Good riddance.I can't wait for 2012!
ReplyDeleteLet us not forget that this is the very same person that Dokter Conne-tu did not want as governor and for which he whined and cried for many days.
ReplyDeleteIt is also the same person about which Ramgoolam took 17 months to nominate as governor. This gives us an idea of the guy's ability to recruit people of calibre. Cry my beloved country cry.
Should someone break the news to the clowns at sugar.mu?
Samedi Plus weekly also saw that Manou deserved a recognition, on par with Jack Bizlall, as "indignés". Domaz li pa online ha zournal-la...
