So six ministers resign while the Head of Government is abroad. No problemo. Latter makes up his mind and instructs the President, as per our Constitution, to flip the relevant ministries to other Ministers. And all of this happens seamlessly.
It's the same Constitution that presided at the four orderly changes of governments we've witnessed since Independence and established our reputation as a stable democracy.
God bless our Constitution!

ReplyDeleteBut which no media has found interesting enough to broadcast so far, because of their obsession with a hypothetical tantrum from Navin: you can sense radios' self-coaxing nervousness by airing Navin's landing at precisely 08:06, conversation with Aneerood, seeking desperately Pravind's frustration (li pé alle bwar enn bon di-thé li) etc...
Something tells me that like Pravind's move wrong-footed all political analysts, Navin's reaction to Pravind's self-sidelining will be a non-event.
And the second miracle will be someone else's doing.
