And has agreed to continue the reform of the governance structure of the Bretton Woods institution to reflect the shift in economic power underway. She will be at her new desk the day after the US independence holiday.
And we are suddenly so much better now, wow. give us a break
I think the day science comes up with a breakthrough of producing food in large amounts at low cost these economists will become redundant! its as simple as that, that day might come, humanity is still very young.
@ Anonymous June 30, 2011 9:19 AM - Well, you may start a world-wide movement to start eating protein/fibre/nutrient-rich (albeit non-conventional) food such as seaweed / algae, insects, flowers, amphibians, reptiles and the like... The demand is so low, so easy to rear, that it's not low cost: NO cost. Bon appétit...
It's much rarer to have a a woman raping a man.....a bit of a rare situation I must admit....but since you say so. I would say even if she wanted to rape a male hotel room staff she would have to think a million times now that one IMF man is already in trouble!
You didn't say we would be better off...I agree but you sound like you are really enthusiastic about this - first female ....so what? We have a female VP of Rep here who has been earning quite a lot....first female I tell you!!
Seaweed - the idea is yours Akagugo, go ahead... and yeah its not free, the Japanese can tell you more about it.I'm talking about something else - the only thing we can have confidence in is 'science', if we dont self-destruct ouselfves with its power then we shall, our future generations, reap the benefit of it in many ways, and I'm sure we will make progress in food production
"Seaweed - the idea is yours Akagugo, go ahead... " No irony meant here, mate: this is actually in line with what many non-mainstream movements advocate. Some even profess to eat only what is thrown, on the basis that there is so much food thrown away while they are not yet at the end of their shelf-life, like white loaf bread in the UK... Bon, les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas, alors, veuillez vous épargner la peine de prendre ombrage à ma simple suggestion de commencer votre propre mouvement anticonsumériste, qui partait de votre rêve de "food in large amounts at low cost these economists will become redundant"...

No Ma'am/Sir, just like Guignols de l'Info, caricurists very often capture the real meaning of things, like this. But if you still want to add your version, please yourself here...
So Mrs Lagarde is guilty, but not eligible for punishment: understandably roasted on social media. This guy would be well advised to make sure to steal much, much bigger next time, so to speak...
So, another former IMF head is found guilty of financial crime. See a pattern here: is the IMF actually seeking people with a shady past to conduct their affairs or what?
No risk that the director will rape/attempt to rape a female maid!

Wikipedia's article on the IMF has more of the ugly side of the entity....I wonder why!! Looks like they should close it down to be honest.
