What Did You Think of Ramgoolam's Speech at Ganga Talao?

I didn't get the opportunity to listen to it but some people weren't impress at all. The PM's best friend, Rabin Bhujun, has suggested he would be better off speaking in creole. Anyway here is last year's speech.

Well, the PM certainly looks like he could use some more practice speaking Hindi but it is not as bad as RB is saying.

Just to show how biased he is: have you ever heard him ask Sithanen not to speak in French (which is a lot worse than NR's Hindi)?

Of course you have not, because the guy is totally biased.

No wrong in that he tried, this was a political move.

Although one wonders how being of an older generation he couldn't pronounce Hindi words well - did he not watch Bollywood movies? I'm sure he did!!!

But then I should point out that most people, and I include anil bachoo and all those who say they are hindi experts, speak bad hindi just as the white franco-mauritians speak french devoid of its rich vocabulary!

The way he spoke was as good as he can get (unfortunate mis-pronunciations were rightly pointed out by Dharmanand Dooharika in Samedi-Plus), but the content is far more 'interesting' for our hindu friends: he's re-defined hinduism in one speech by doing away with the birth-rebrith cycle and introducing the concept of heaven and hell, which was until then only a judeo-christian form of enforcement of belief... What a way to go!

:-) Do you mean that Navin's Hindi is better than SAJ's French? Or Pravind's ... eh, non, laisse sann-la tomber...

Meu eunfin beuneum!

when u cannot just speak in hindi please better talk in creole 4 a large audience 2 to understand wat u r saying. I would suggest Ramgoolam's advisors 2 see their copy before letting him to speak. On yhe whole these bullshits advisors r making this man wat he should not be.
